These groups can be conducted in Head Start Agencies, Pediatric Physician Offices, Schools, or in our Office Locations.
Requirements Ages vary but children should have basic verbal skills and low levels of challenging behaviors including but not limited to aggression, self-injury, destruction of property, and elopement.
Objectives
- Use whole body listening skills in a group setting
- Learn how to positively interact with peers
- Improve conversation skills including greetings/introductions
- Learn appropriate ways to express emotions
These skills can be taught using modeling, group activities, and social stories by an ABA specialist.
Parenting classes will be offered simultaneously and will include instructions on how to foster appropriate social skills in your child.
