Don't Forget The Basics!

The Basics

Face Covering! Employees must wear a mask while working regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, everyone should strongly consider wearing a face mask or other approved face covering to minimize the spread of germs when inside in a community setting

Hand Hygiene! Wash your hands often with soap and water, or an approved 60% alcohol or greater hand sanitizer

Don’t Touch Your Face! Keep your hands away from your eyes, nose, mouth and mask

Social Distancing! Refrain from being around large groups of people. If not vaccinated, keep at least 6 feet between you and those outside of your household. Employees should keep at least 6 feet between themselves and those in a patient’s house other than the patient, if possible. Outdoor interactions are better than indoor interactions

Self Monitor! Be aware of and on the lookout for symptoms of COVID-19, which may include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, new loss of taste/smell, sore throat, congestion, runny nose, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea

Know Emergency Warnings Signs! Seek emergency care immediately if someone experiences trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in chest, new confusion, inability to wake or stay awake, and/or bluish lips or face

Stay Home If Sick! Please stay home if sick to avoid spreading infection

Mental Health! Be sure to take care of your mental health. Take time to do what makes you happy, as long as it’s safe. Go outside and get some fresh air if possible

 Reporting

Report Illness! Please notify the NBN Group immediately if anyone in your household may have COVID-19 symptoms, regardless of vaccination status

Report Exposure! Please notify the NBN Group immediately if anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status

Screening Questions! Either directly before a shift or upon arrival to a shift, employees should have a conversation with patient/caregiver(s) in regards to household exposures and symptoms

Vaccine Information

COVID-19 Initial Vaccine! People aged 5 and older are eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19. It is recommended to get the vaccine even if you already had COVID-19

Booster Shots! Certain people are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster shot. Everyone 18+ years old who received the J&J vaccine is eligible for their booster shot as long as it has been at least 2 months from your initial shot. Those who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine are eligible for the booster shot 6 months after their second shot if 65+ years old, 18+ with underlying medical conditions (talk to your doctor), or 18+ who live or work in long term care or high risk settings (including healthcare workers and education staff)

Third Dose! People with moderately to severely comprised immune symptoms who received an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) should talk to their doctor about receiving a third dose of the vaccine. This is different than a booster shot

Flu Shot! Please talk to your doctor about getting a flu shot. It is more important than ever this year due to the similarities between flu and COVID-19 symptoms, and due to the need to not overwhelm hospitals with both flu and COVID-19 cases

Same Time! Per the CDC, you can get your COVID-19 vaccine or booster at the same time as your flu shot

We know how hard the past two years have been on so many of you. On behalf of the entire NBN Group, we want to thank you for your cooperation and for your confidence in our work during this challenging time. To our employees, we are still extremely appreciative of you for taking care of our clients and working to prevent the spread of COVID-19. To our patients and their families, we are still here for you and will continue to do our part to provide services to those in need. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance or if you have any questions. Thank you!
